BalticSatApps project is organizing a half day workshop (13:00-17:30) on “Market uptake on Copernicus for Finnish private sector” which will take place on October 24, 2019 in the premises of the Finnish Meteorological Institute in Helsinki.

The event is aimed at the private sector who would like to enhance their existing businesses or to create new businesses using Copernicus data and services.

Copernicus, the European Union’s Earth observation and monitoring programme, produces a wealth of data regarding land, atmosphere, oceans and inland waters and cross-cutting processes like climate change, disaster management and security. The vast majority of data and information delivered by the Copernicus Space infrastructure and the Copernicus services are made available and accessible to any citizen and any organisation around the world on a free, full and open access basis. This is expected to unleash unique market opportunities.

BalticSatApps project aims to advance the development of new solutions and commercial activity that utilize Copernicus Earth Observation data. The workshop is organized in cooperation with the Finnish Meteorological Institute and the Geowise Oy. It is organized as part of the user uptake activities of the BalticSatApps project. The event is free for everyone. More details on the agenda, presentations and registration will be published later.
