Copernicus, the European Union’s Earth observation and monitoring programme (http://copernicus.eu), produces a wealth of data regarding land, atmosphere, oceans and inland waters and cross-cutting processes like climate change, disaster management and security. The vast majority of data and information delivered by the Copernicus Space infrastructure and the Copernicus services are made available and accessible to any citizen and any organisation around the world on a free, full and open access basis. This is expected to unleash unique market opportunities. The BalticSatApps (www.balticsatapps.eu) project aims to advance the development of new solutions and commercial activity that utilize Copernicus earth observation data.
The workshop presents Copernicus services with data accessibility. Use cases in different domains will be presented on Copernicus data and service use. The workshop will provide guidance to develop solutions related to Copernicus Services. We will present funding opportunities for enhancing existing businesses or setting up new businesses by introducing acceleration programs within BalticSatApps project.
