Your proposal needs to consist of two parts:

1. A written description

To make different submissions more comparable with each other, we expect you to describe your proposal through six questions/statements.

You can select the most suitable format (text document, PowerPoint slides, etc) to respond these questions. If you want, you are also free to use other supplementary visualization methods (e.g. online demo, sketch of the system architecture or user interface).

The questions that require your attention are:

Customer (=challenge partner)

1. Customer jobs – the functional, social and emotional tasks customers are trying to perform, problems they are trying to solve and needs they wish to satisfy.

2. Pains – the negative experiences, emotions and risks that the customer experiences in the process of getting the job done.

3. Gains – the benefits which the customer expects and needs, what would delight customers and the things which may increase likelihood of adopting a value proposition.

4. Gain creators – how the product or service creates customer gains and how it offers added value to the customer.

5. Pain relievers – a description of exactly how the product or service alleviates customer pains.

6. Products and services – the products and services which create gain and relieve pain, and which underpin the creation of value for the customer.

The deadline for the written description is Sunday 1.12.2019. (Delayed submissions are not judged at all!)

2. A presentation (5 minutes)

In addition to the written material, you should be prepared for a 5-minute PowerPoint presentation and to answer questions from the jury.

The presentations are held on the Demoday on Wednesday 4.12.2019.

The deadline for the presentations is Tuesday 3.12.2019.
